What this page is for
The feature is SpeakRadio's long format: a written editorial piece read by an AI voice, from around thirty seconds to several minutes. You either write the script yourself or have the AI write it from a subject.
Good to know :
For a feature driven by real data from today (weather, news, sport, horoscope, cinema), use the Ready to air mode instead, covered in its own guide page.
Step by step
- Click New feature.
- Enter the Title and pick a Category: News, Culture, Opinion, Horoscope, Weather, Sport, Tech, Food, Cinema or Music.
- Select the Voice, the Intonation and the Music bed.
- Write the script in the large text area, or click Generate with AI.
- Click Generate the feature: a progress bar tracks the audio being built.
- Listen, correct if needed, then download.
The script generator
- Subject: the topic to cover
- Description / Instructions: your guidance to steer the content (angle, target audience, points to mention)
- Type: News, Culture, Opinion or Tech
- Length: around 30 seconds, 1 minute or 2 minutes
Tip :
The more precise your instructions, the less you will need to rewrite. State your station name, the tone you expect and anything that must absolutely not be said.
Advanced settings
The same as for other productions: voice volume, intro and outro silence, music bed volume.
Tip :
On a long feature, bring the music bed down to around 10 %: any louder and listening becomes tiring after a couple of minutes.

Requirements and limits
- An active subscription is required.
- Audio generation is asynchronous: you can leave the page and production carries on.
- A voice is mandatory as soon as you ask for audio.
