SFTP / FTP synchronisation

Drop your features onto your station's server automatically

What this page is for

If your automation system watches a folder on a server, SpeakRadio can drop the features it produces straight into it. You save your servers here, then select them in the Delivery tab of each schedule.

Saving a server

Click Add a server and fill in:

  • Name: a label that means something to you (“On-air server”, “Studio B”)
  • Protocol: SFTP (encrypted), FTPS (encrypted) or FTP (in the clear)
  • Host and Port (22 by default for SFTP)
  • Username and Password
  • Remote path: the destination folder
Tip : Always prefer SFTP or FTPS: with plain FTP, the username and password travel across the network in the clear.
Good to know : Passwords are encrypted in the database. When editing, leave the field empty to keep the existing password.

Testing and resending

  • Test a file transfer runs three visible steps: connection, file upload, verification. The test sends your most recent real feature, or a small text file if you do not have one yet.
  • Resend features lets you push the last 5, 10, 20 or 50 features to a server again — handy after an outage at your end.
  • The Recent transfers block keeps the last 15 jobs with their status: Not tested, Pending, Running, OK or Failed.
Warning : Deleting a server disconnects the schedules that were using it: they will carry on producing features, but will no longer send them.

Access

This feature is being rolled out gradually. If it is not yet active on your account, the page shows an information screen with a link to the subscription plans.
